When learners helped shape the Eco Club curriculum for the first half of the year, one theme surfaced almost immediately: to know the plants growing around them.
Why do some flowers attract birds while others attract bees? Why are male birds often so flashy and females more plain?

Our School Gardens – 2026 update
A garden begins with bare earth, a handful of plants, and someone willing to return tomorrow.
Over the years our school gardens have evolved; from once underused corners of school grounds, slowly becoming vibrant places filled with birdsong, flowering fynbos, and curious young people!
Places where learners gather over lunch, or sit quietly while the rest of the world bustles on by.
